My name is Aaron Perez and I am starting my second year in public education. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Percussion. Since 2013, I have been teaching as a percussion technician for Richardson High School, Lamesa High School, Lubbock High School, and all of the secondary campuses in Frenship ISD.

During my time at Texas Tech, I was a member of the drum line, both percussion ensembles, Steel Band 2, Court Jesters, the Symphonic Band and the Symphonic Wind Ensemble. I also played drum set in both jazz combos and big bands in my time there as well.

For the district, I teach the drum line and front ensemble, assemble and rehearse percussion ensembles, travel to teach percussion at the middle schools and assist with the bands at the high school. I love this job, our staff, and am ready to see what the next year holds here in FISD.
