Welcome to Ms. Jones Ag Page! ☺

Greetings:

I would like to welcome you to the agricultural sciences department and Frenship FFA. Agricultural science courses are unique in the fact that they have a three-component model consisting of instructionFFA, FFA, and Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE's).  Students who actively engage in available opportunities are preparing for postsecondary success.  These courses offer valuable opportunities, prepare them for future careers and help students make lifelong connections.

Now to properly introduce myself, my name is Kelsea Jones! I grew up right outside of Fort Worth, TX. My agricultural career began at a young age when I started showing livestock including rabbits, pigs and even a few goats. Most importantly I was heavily involved showing Charolais cattle across the state and at the national level. During my time showing Charolais I held several officer positions on the Texas Junior Charolais Board and served as the Texas Charolais Princess.

FFA was and continues to be a huge part of my life. I was a member of speaking and judging teams and served as a leader in many capacities while in high school. I continued my education and graduated college from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Agricultural Communications and Master of Science in Agricultural Education. Upon graduation from Texas Tech, I spent four years as the agricultural science teacher at Muleshoe High School where I was fortunate enough to qualify for numerous state contests and help students earn industry certifications. I will be teaching Floral Design and Vet Science while overseeing sheep, goats, and heifers. Aside from school I spend my free time being outdoors and chasing my precious toy Ausie who is my pride and joy, Brooks! I come from a long line of educators and have spent most of my life around a coach's office or in my mom's classroom or office. I have one older brother, who has two children my precious nephew Lyle, and niece Caroline.

I am so excited for my second year as a part of the Frenship family and can’t wait to watch this program continue to blossom in the coming years. I have a passion for teaching ag and I cannot wait to share that with each of you! I know great things are in store for Frenship FFA.
