Ms. Fehr's current position is Assistant Band Director at Frenship High School. She works with the Freshmen Band, the Frenship Tiger Marching Band, and assists with all other major performing ensembles in the band program. She will begin her first year teaching this fall!
Ms. Fehr is a Lubbock native and attended Coronado High School. She received her Bachelor in Music with Teacher Certification from Texas Tech University. Her specialization is clarinet.
During Ms. Fehr's collegiate years, she worked with Red Raider Orientation, Red Raider Camp, and served as a Raider Ready peer mentor. She also worked as a recruiter for the Margaret & J.T. Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts. Ms. Fehr was active in the community working with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra as a Teaching Artist and serving as a drill instructor and sectional coach for local middle schools and high schools. She has experience judging various regional and area music competitions and festivals.
Ms. Fehr was a member of Texas Tech's Goin' Band from Raiderland and was on the leadership team for four consecutive seasons. As an ensemble member, she performed with Texas Tech's Symphonic Band at the College Band Director's National Association (CBDNA) March 2016. She also performed with Texas Tech's Clarinet Choir at the Texas Music Educator's Association (TMEA) February 2015. Ms. Fehr is an alumni of Tau Beta Sigma, a music service sorority founded at Texas Tech.
Ms. Fehr holds membership with the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Band Masters Association, and Lubbock Educators Association.
