What is DECA?
DECA is a co-curricular association of high school marketing students. We are a collective group of over 80,000 international members studying marketing, management, entrepreneurship, finance, hospitality and marketing sales and service.
The organization is defined through the use of four attributes:
- Social Intelligence
- Civic Consciousness
- Leadership Development
- Vocational Understanding
Each area allows students the opportunity to grow and develop. In order to meet these goals, yearly DECA activities could include:
- Chapter socials and activities
- A DECA "sports night" at the local stadium
- District and state competition
- Business field trips
- Leadership conferences and activities
- Service projects
