Frenship High School

About Mrs. Gordon

Hello parents and students! I am one of the Culinary Arts teachers here at Frenship High School. I grew up in Austin, TX but moved to Lubbock after graduating from Anderson High School. I attended college at Texas Tech University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences, December 2011. I also received a masters degree from Lubbock Christian University in Human Services specializing in Family Life Educator in 2014. This year I will be going on maternity leave in the fall, because my husband and I are expecting our first child in October!
This will be my 5th year at Frenship and 10th year teaching! I teach six sections of Culinary Arts and I am so excited to meet my new classes! I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Frenship family. I love teaching Culinary Arts because as we all know, food is a part of everyone's daily lives. It is such a great skill for high school students to learn! I hope each of them takes some of these skills home to their families and shares their love of food with others. I look forward to another great year!

I encourage anyone interested in joining FCCLA to come to our first meeting and hear what it's all about! It is a great way for students to get involved in an organization that pushes them to get outside of their comfort zone and work on skills to become a great leader.
