Frenship Softball Slams Their Way to Back-to-Back Victories

Last Friday, the Frenship Softball Team had a shutout game against Odessa Permian, with a final score of 6-0. Assistant Softball Coach, Anna Williams shares the major highlights of the game.   

“Kynlee Bowlin did an outstanding job on the mound with 10 strikeouts and one walk on the night,” said Coach Williams. “Brook Esqueda had two hits with one being a homerun. Alex Rangel had an RBI double to help extend our lead. Ava Ramirez had a day at the hot corner with five putouts and no errors.” 

On Monday, April 15, the Tigers faced the Odessa High Bronchos, coming out victorious again. The final score was 20-5 through the run rule.  

“The Tigers scored big in the first inning running away with 11 total runs,” said Coach Williams. “Lexi Clark, Ami Perez, Ara Ramirez, Kelvie Roberts, Jada Reyna, and Juelz Landeros had at least two hits on the night! Brooke Esqueda had a home run to make the lead even greater. Lexi Clark held it down in the circle with eight strikeouts in the five innings of play.” 

Tonight is Senior Night for the Frenship Softball Team. The Tigers will be playing San Angelo Central at home starting at 6:30 p.m.
