Hello and welcome! This is my 21st year of teaching.
I was born and raised in Lubbock and graduated from Monterey High School. After high school, I attended Texas Tech and earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. I work as a clinical Microbiologist for 15 years before switching careers. After leaving the clinical lab industry, I worked for Computer Sciences Corporation providing network security services for Raytheon, a defense contractor for the US government. While at Raytheon, I received my teaching credentials from Texas A&M, Commerce. I became a teacher at Rowlett High School (Garland ISD) where I taught a number of subjects, but primarily AP Physics. I was department head over Science for 12 years. I then moved back to Lubbock and taught at Monterey High School for 5 years before becoming a Tiger. I cannot wait to share my science experiences and love of learning science to the classroom!!!
I Have been married to my wife, Kristi, for 33 years. I have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. My wife and I also have a German Shepard. My hobbies include fishing, martial arts, and playing bass guitar.
If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact me by email. Below is a ink to Schoology, our online learning platform that will be used for notes, assignments, and assessments. For AP students, I have included another site that has even more resources.
