This course introduces students to French language and develops proficiency in speaking, listening reading and writing. At the end of the course, students should be able to engage in simple conversations within the limits of practiced vocabulary and structures. Students will also gain perspective and insight into the cultures of the countries where French is spoken. Classes are conducted in the target language as much as possible.
