Frenship High School

Frenship Students Learning Life Skills at United Express

The students in Mrs. Kubacak's Life Skills class are receiving a special opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a working business and gain valuable like skills to take with them after graduation from Frenship High School.

United Express in Wolfforth, Texas has partnered with the class to allow them to have a range of job experience from stocking shelves, maintaining a clean and safe environment, restocking items and helping at the registers. The students are there every day, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

"We are trying to teach them valuable skills that they can take with them after graduation in order for them to obtain employment," Kubacak said. "Because United is such a wonderful place to employ special needs individuals, it has been a perfect fit. I am so proud of everything that they are learning! They seem to really enjoy being there and I hope to eventually see them fully employed years down the road!"

The students told us they really enjoy stocking, cleaning and working with store manager, JD.

Make sure to stop by and say hi to our hardworking students.
