Frenship Softball has Explosive Victory in Weekend Tournament, First District Game

At the Turf Wars Tournament, the Tigers played several traditionally strong softball schools like Southlake Carroll, Fort Worth Brewer, and Mansfield Lakeridge. The girls took home the tournament championship title winning all six games played.

On Tuesday, March 9 the Tigers faced off against San Angelo Central in the first District 2-6A game of the season and won 15-0.

Erin Boles has seven strikeouts, gave up two hits and had no walks. Sydnee Bowlin and Maya Mongelli had three hits each, followed closely by Claudia Kerr and Makayla Garcia with two hits each.

“We are expecting a challenging game,” Dickenson said. “This week we worked on fundamentals and needed to cleanup some base running mistakes. It has been a great start to the season though!”

The Tigers are currently 12-3 and are looking to remain perfect in district play.
