Frenship Softball Suffers Two District Losses, Looking for Win at San Angelo on Friday

Frenship Head Softball Coach Robby Dickenson said that against Odessa High his team showed strength.

“Makayla Garcia had two hits, one being a homerun, and one stolen base. Maya Mongelli had two hits and Sydney Bowlin had two hits,” Dickenson said. “It was a hard fought game, we had to come from behind in the 6th to tie up the game but couldn’t hold momentum and gave up two in the top of the 7th for the loss.”

In the game against Midland High on Tuesday the Tigers found themselves unable to match Midland pitcher Alex Aguilar’s skill, leaving them scoreless with only four scattered hits in seven innings.

Frenship’s Erin Boles held a strong Midland team to only 2 runs, though, dishing out two strikeouts in six innings.

The Tiger, who are 3-3 in district and 14-6 overall, are looking for a victory on the road against San Angelo Central on Friday.
