Frenship Golfers Compete in Regional Golf Tournament

On the first day of the girls tournament Cristan shot an 80 and ended up with a tournament score of 82-80-162.

Vargas had a two-day score of 70-71, putting him in third place overall to advance to the State Golf Tournament in Georgetown at Legacy Hills Golf Club on Saturday, May 15.

The Frenship Boys Golf team finished in fourth place in team standings with scores of 301-290. The Tigers had three players that finished in the top 20.

Freshman, Hunter Welch, had a two-day score of 74-72 to finish in 12th place, and Junior, Leyton Hiebert finished in 16th place individually.

Frenship Boys Golf Head Coach Dan McDonald said his golfers had an outstanding season.

“The Tigers team record this year included five first place finishes, one second and a third place finish, along with two fourth place finishes,” McDonald said.
