Frenship High School Football Players Receive National Football Foundation Scholarships

Tristin Laughlin received the $500 United Supermarkets Scholar Athlete scholarship. Laughlin will be attending Hardin Simmons University where he has signed to play football next fall.

Mark Dannemiller received the $500 Ron Reeves Scholarship award. Dannemiller will be attending Texas Tech University.

Frenship High School Head Football Coach Jay Northcutt expressed how proud he is of these Frenship athletes.

Both of these young men qualified for these scholarships by having really high grade point averages, class rankings, and high test scores,” Northcutt said. “Tristin made a 31 on his ACT and Mark scored a 1450 on the SAT.”

Northcutt said he will miss the boys on the field next year but knows they have helped build the Frenship Tiger football program.

“They are great athletes and even better young men,” Northcutt said. “Their work ethic and character is second to none! I am very proud of these two and very grateful for all they have done for our program and school.”
