Frenship Cross Country Takes Silver at LCU Chap Invitational

Frenship Cross Country coach Amanda Kirkpatrick said her athletes brought fierce competition to the meet. She said she was very pleased with the way her teams competed.

"Both varsity teams finished 2nd and both JV teams won," Kirkpatrick said. "We had 11 medalists total! Varsity boys were Gavin Morrison & Jalon Jackson; Varsity girls were Emma Lopez, Faith Zint & Andrea Irelan; JV boys were Ethan Regalado & Adrian Grady; JV girls were Devin Moore, Katie Zint, Valarie Reyna & Mireya Mata."

Kirkpatrick said she is hoping for a lot of success this year.

"We want to build on last year's success and try to pass that," Kirkpatrick said. "The girls' team qualified for regionals last year, and Faith Zint qualified individually  for state. The boys had two regional qualifiers last year, as well. Our kids are hungry and have worked all summer long to build up for this season."

Next up is the Rebel Run this weekend at Tascosa High School in Amarillo.
