Frenship Football Gears up for Big Homecoming Game

The Tigers got a good start against the Rebels last week when Frenship quarterback Chad Pharies ran for two touchdowns and threw for a third with a 75-yard pass to Kaden Meier giving the Tigers a 7-0, 14-7 and 21-14 lead.

The Rebels came alive late in the second quarter and proved to be too much for the Tigers to handle. The Rebels scored touchdowns on their first 10 offensive passes, eight of those being before halftime, giving them a 55-21.

The Tigers couldn’t hold on to consistency though and didn’t score again until Meier returned an interception in the closing minutes of the game.

Pharies finished the game with 216 passing yards and 113 ground yards, with 63-yard and 20-yard running touchdowns. Standout Tiger Andrew Braddock pulled three receptions for 78 yards.

The Tigers will take on the Abilene High Eagles on Friday, October 15 for the 2021 Homecoming football game. Gates open at 5:30, Homecoming festivities will begin at 6:30, and kick off is at 7:00.

Tickets for the game are available online HERE and will be available for purchase at the gate.
