Frenship Boys Golf Dominates the Competition at the South Plains Shootout Tournament

The tournament started with a 15 minute fog delay, but the Frenship Blue team was ready to take on the 18 other teams in attendance.

 The Frenship Blue team finished in 3rd place after round one with a total of 305. The boys turned up the heat during the second round, taking home the silver with a 611 tournament score total.

Frenship Head Boys Golf Coach Dan McDonald said he was very proud of his teams and was excited to get the second place win.

“In individual play, Leyton Hiebert, Hunter Welch, Jathan Reed, and Rex Newsom all finished in the top 10 and tied for individual scores,” McDonald said. “Standouts for the Gold Team, were Palmer Stephens and Lane Monroe.”

The Frenship Gold team finished in 10th place overall.

The Frenship Boys Golf teams wrapped up their Fall season last week and will continue with the Spring season later on this school year.
