Frenship Wrestling Coach Clinton Wood said he was impressed with the way his teams competed at the tournament.

"The tournament went really well for us," Wood said. "We earned valuable experience for an early season tournament."

Wood said both Freshman Hannah Demel and Senior Michelle Hernandez placed fourth in their weight classes. Junior Rebecca Vann placed third, becoming the first Frenship Wrestling medalist for the season so far.

"With only a few practices over the next two weeks we are focusing on making corrections and conditioning," Wood said. "We have a lot of events coming up over the next couple of weeks."

The Frenship Wrestlers will be back on the mat this weekend for the Lubbock High Tri. They will compete on Friday and Saturday against Lubbock High as they prepare for their first home matches the following week.
