Thirty-Five Frenship High School DECA Students Advance to State Contest

Frenship DECA students competed in several events including role plays concerning real-life business situations, research papers, business, marketing, and finance testing, as well as presentations.

Out of the 40 students who competed, 35 will advance to state. The state competition will take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas from February 24-26. Over 4,800 students will compete to advance to the International Career Development Conference (ICDC), the national DECA competition. This year the national competition will be in Atlanta, Georgia in April.

The Frenship DECA program continues to make the district proud through their many accomplishments. In addition to the sucess of the students at the competition, Rachel Albritton, one DECA advisors,  received recognition as a top advisor for our district at the district awards ceremony.

“The accomplishments of the whole program are a team effort, and all three of the advisors make the success happen,” said Albritton.
