Multiple Frenship Powerlifting Athletes Place at Dimmitt Powerlifting Meet

The Frenship Powerlifting team has a new coach after long-time head coach David Crume retired at the end of last school year. Coach Dusty Robinson has taken over the charge and he said he is excited for the start of their season.

"I am very proud of our team so far," Robinson said. "They continue to get better every meet!"

Results from Dimmitt are listed below: 

Boys Powerlifting

Ethan Martinez, 2nd place in the132-pound weight class,  totaling 945 pounds. 

Michael Garza, 4th place in the 148-pound class, totaling 870 pounds. 

Jermaine Stotts, 8th place in the 148-pound class, totaling 800 pounds. 

Reese Roberts, 5th place in the 198-pound class, totaling 920 pounds.

Reynaldo Loredo, 2nd place in the 275-pound class, totaling 1200 pounds.

Josh Ortiz, 6th place in the 275-pound class, totaling 1075 pounds. 

Karson Jones, 1st place in the 308-pound class, totaling 1495 pounds.

Blaize Whitaker, 3rd place, totaling 1310 pounds.

Joshua Rangel, 4th place, totaling 1215 pounds.

Chris Lea, 5th place, totaling 1170 pounds.

Overall the Frenship Boys Powerlifting team placed third overall out of 15 teams.

Girls Powerlifting

Macy Olmos, 3rd place in her weight class, totaling 620 pounds. 

Leandra Salazar, 10th place in her weight class, totaling 330 pounds. 

Claire McDonald, 9th place in her weight class, totaling 455 pounds.  

Faith Shagula, 4th place in her weight class, totaling 505 pounds.  

Overall, the Frenship Girls Powerlifting team placed 10th out of 15 with only four athletes competing!
