Three Frenship High School Students Win at the Texas DECA State Competition and Advance to Nationals

Texas DECA is the largest DECA organization in the world and over 4,800 students competed to advance to ICDC, the national DECA competition. Three Frenship students won the title of DECA state champion, and will represent Texas, and Frenship at the national competition in April. In addition to those three, Frenship also had six alternates win. They will attend the competition in the event someone in their category cannot. This year’s national competition will be held in Atlanta, Georgia. 

The State Winners and National Competitors are as follows: 

Salma Alhsni competed in a Business Services Marketing Role Play. 

Matthew Gillham competed in an Accounting Applications Role Play. 

Grant Phillips wrote an Integrated Marketing Plan about a donation event called “Giving Tuesday.” 

Texas DECA National Alternates follow: 

Angelina Guzman competed in a Principles of Business Management Role Play. 

Taylor Baker competed with a Food Marketing Role Play. 

Kendall Cathey and Jessica Foley presented a Travel and Tourism Marketing Role Play. 

Ayden Servantez completed an Automotive Services Marketing Role Play. 

Daniel Ramirez wrote a Business Plan for a Bahama Bucks Franchise.
