The first game of the series on Thursday, March 17 at home. The game was full of surprises, and even though it was St. Patrick's Day, it wasn't a lucky outcome for Frenship. 

 

The Tigers were down by 10 runs at the beginning of the 7th inning, but tried to turn it around to clinch the win.

 

"We had a great comeback in game one, scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning, but it wasn’t enough," Frenship Baseball Head Coach Chad Reynolds said. "We ended up losing 14-12."

 

The Tigers met up with the Rebels for the second game on Friday, March 18 in Midland and they were ready for revenge.

 

"Game two was down in Midland," Reynolds said. "Rylan Morin pitched really well and Carter Estill came in the last two innings to get the save."

 

The Tigers ended up winning the second game, 6-4.

 

The third and final game of the series on Saturday, March 19 would decide the series winner. Brooks Roberson started on the mound and was in command from the first pitch.

 

"Carter Estill again came in for the 2 inning save, his second in two days," Reynolds said. "Hudson Hutcheson homered for the Tigers and we were able to take the series win."

 

The Tigers finished up game three with the win 3-1, winning the overall series against the Rebels.

 

On Tuesday, March 22, the Tigers started their three-game series against Abilene High.

 

"The offense throughout the lineup was good and several guys on the mound threw really well," Reynolds said.  "Nano Mendoza started on the mound and threw 3 quick innings before turning it over to the bullpen, Landon Hutcheson and Davis Eulenbach. Mendoza also hit a 3 run homerun in the Tigers first inning."

 

The Tigers will pick the series back up on in Abilene on Friday, March 25 for game two, and Saturday back at home to close it out.
