Frenship High School

Frenship High School Theatre Shines in the Spotlight

Frenship Theatre competed in the district and bi-district One Act Play competitions over the last few weeks and will be competing in the area contest this Friday, April 1, in Odessa.

They hope to continue their winning streak with the play People, Places and Things by Duncan Macmillan. Where the protagonist, Emma, finds herself in rehab. Her first step is to admit that she has a problem. But the problem isn’t with Emma, it’s with everything else. She needs to tell the truth, but she’s smart enough to know that there’s no such thing. When intoxication feels like the only way to survive the modern world, how can she ever sober up? The play takes you on a journey with Emma as she tries to find forgiveness for herself and those who have hurt her in her past.

In addition to earning first place overall, several FHS One Act students received individual commendation.
