The Tigers Take Down Lubbock-Cooper in Last Second Victory

On September 2, the Tigers traveled across town to Lubbock-Cooper for a tough game against the Pirates. The stands were packed for the sold-out game, and both teams put on a show for their fans. The game was back-and-forth throughout, and the Pirates were up late in the fourth quarter.

Leyton Stone scored a last-minute touchdown on a pass from Hudson Hutcheson with four seconds left in the fourth quarter to put the Tigers on top with the victory. The Tigers walked away with the win, at 36-33.

Hudson Hutcheson had 12 completions out of 17 attempts for a total of 232 yards. Hutcheson also had 18 carries for 71 yards. Landon Hutcheson had 8 carries for a total of 62 yards and L. Hutcheson also had 3 receptions for 16 yards. Sebastian Dominguez had 4 carries for 14 yards. Leyton Stone had seven receptions for 159 yards. Santiago Sanchez and Ethan Curbo each had 6 tackles and Elyas Soliz had five.

Tonight the Tigers will take on Monterey at Peoples Bank Stadium for Homecoming.
