The Tigers celebrated homecoming with a strong 39-26 win over Lubbock Monterey. The Tigers started off strong, scoring a touchdown on their opening series, but the Plainsmen got up ahead by the end of the first half, with the score 10-12 at halftime. After halftime the Tigers came back strong, scoring 22 unanswered points in the third quarter. The Plainsmen scored two touchdowns in the final quarter, but Frenship was able to hold them off, scoring another touchdown before the end of the game.
Hudson Hutcheson had 297 passing yards and 46 rushing yards. Landon Hutcheson had 71 rushing yards and nine receptions for 125 yards. Sebastian Dominguez had 63 rushing yards.
Tate Beeles had five receptions for 65 yards, and Layton Stone has eight receptions for 60 yards.
Elyas Soliz and Josiah Pauda each had 7 tackles, and Ethan Curbo and S. Sanchez each had six. Caydin Blakely had a sack and Benjamin Rios had an interception.
The Tigers look to move to 3-1 as they travel to Abilene tonight to take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m.
