Frenship Esports Raises over $1,500 for Children's Hospital

As a part of the international Extra Life Game Day, the Frenship Esports teams decided to host an ‘All night Stream-a-thon', on Saturday, November 6. Extra Life Game Day is an event that gamers across the world participate in to raise money for local hospitals.

The Frenship Esports teams chose to raise money for Lubbock’s UMC Children’s Hospital and set their intended goal at $1,000.

Around 20 students participated in the ‘All night Stream-a-thon', locking themselves in the Frenship High School Esports Lab from 8 p.m. Saturday night to 8 a.m. Sunday morning. The students diligently gamed for twelve hours as friends and family tuned in to the streams and donated.

As the night progressed, they had to modify their fundraising goal because they reached their goal before midnight. At the end of the stream, they raised a total of $1,502 for the Children’s Hospital.
