Right before Thanksgiving break, Frenship took seven twirlers to participate in the regional solo contest, and five of the girls competed together in the ensemble contest.  

Five of the seven solo students received a division 1 – superior rating and will compete at the state contest. The individual ratings are listed below: 

Rowan Halliday – Division 2 (Excellent) 

Maddison Sadler – Division 2 (Excellent) 

Emerie Pharr – Division 1 (Superior) 

Kiera Blake – Division 1 (Superior) 

Rachel Burgos – Division 1 (Superior) 

Emma Carter – Division 1 (Superior) 

Breylee Joslin – Division 1 (Superior) 

The five twirlers who came together to compete in the ensemble contest were Emerie Pharr, Kiera Blake, Rachel Burgos, Emma Carter, and Breylee Joslin. The ensemble received a division 1 – superior rating and will compete in the state ensemble competition.  

The twirlers put in a lot of hard work and practice for this competition with their coach, Amanda Tolley, and will continue to do so in preparation for the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest in Austin, TX on May 29, 2023.
