Football Finishes Season, Multiple Players Receive All-District Honors

The Tigers took on Southlake Carroll on November 25 in the Area Round of the playoffs. While the Tigers fought hard, they ultimately fell to the number 3 ranked Dragons, 14-69.

Despite their playoff run being cut short, the Tigers still had an incredible season, finishing 9-3 overall, which was their best record since 2014, and 4-1 in their district, which earned the Tigers a District Championship trophy.

The Tigers also had their first playoff win since 2014 and won the Bi-District Championship.

Northcutt hopes his team will remember “Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger” beyond this season. He believes that sports are a great opportunity for high school students to learn about how to handle adversity, and he hopes that his players will take those skills in their next chapters.

To cap off a great season, multiple Tigers received all-district honors.

For overall awards, the Frenship Football Coaching Staff was awarded the District 2-6A Staff of the Year and quarterback Hudson Hutcheson was named the District 2-6A Most Valuable Player.
