13 Frenship Students Advance to State HOSA Competition

Health Occupation Student Organization or HOSA is a student-led organization dedicated to promoting career opportunities in the healthcare industry and enhancing the delivery of quality health care to all people. Through the program, Frenship students can compete in a variety of events related to the healthcare field such as nutrition, behavioral health, and pharmacology. 

Below are the Frenship students who competed at the area competition this past weekend. Those who placed in the top three will advance to the State Competition in Austin at the end of the month.  

Genesis Zepeda - 2nd place in Behavioral Health (State Qualifier)  

Raniah Cisneros - 2nd place in Cultural Diversities & Disparities (State Qualifier) 

Ryan Luong - 1st place in Health Informatics (State Qualifier) 

Alexa Escoto - 2nd place in Human Growth & Development (State Qualifier) 

Elizabeth McCurley - 1st place in Medical Reading (State Qualifier) 

Sophia Chandler - 2nd place in Pharmacology (State Qualifier) 

Brenna Lankford - 3rd place in Pharmacology (State Qualifier) 

Jocelyn Prieto - 5th place in Pharmacology 

Andrew Narvais - 5th place in Medical Law and Ethics 

Jazmin Reyes - 4th place in Medical Math 

Aryan Roghani - 5th place in Medical Math 

Ahmad Al-Rahawan - 4th place in Pathophysiology 

AJ Mendez and Brandon Luong - 4th in Certified Emergency Response Team 

Kristian Bergeron and Reagan Hanks - 2nd in CPR/First Aid (State Qualifier) 

Edrie Arsenal - 4th in Extemporaneous Writing 

Travis Cai - 5th in Health Career Photography 

Bryce Boatright - 4th in Researched Persuasive Writing and Speaking 

Willis Giles, Atakan Ozfidan, Tammy Pham, and Kirsten Garnica - 3rd HOSA Bowl Team (State Qualifier)
