Frenship vs Odessa Permian Recap

Last Friday on March 24, the Tigers faced the Odessa Permian Panthers. Permian came out with a 3-run lead early in the first inning. Jillian Franco would then tie the game up 3-3, in the 3rd inning with a 3-run home run, scoring MK Garcia and Ami Perez. The Panthers would prove to be too much for the Tigers, taking the win 21- 5. The Tigers fell to 1-2 in district and 14-11 overall. 

Frenship vs Odessa High Recap

On Tuesday March 28, the Tigers traveled to Odessa for a district showdown with the Lady Bronchos. Not one, not two, but three Tigers sent the ball out of the park on Tuesday night. MK Garcia, Ava Garcia and Blair Collier all recorded home runs.

The offense was not the only thing that came back for the Tigers. Sophomore pitcher Alexis Clark made her return to the mound after being out for a month due to surgery. Clark recorded a total of five strikeouts while allowing only two earned runs. The Tigers saw themselves back in the win column, defeating the Lady Bronchos 14-8. The team is now 2-2 in district and 15-11 overall.
