Frenship High School Students Meet with Community Partner

Frenship ISD is committed to preparing students for careers through the various Career Technical Education (CTE) classes and the community partners that help connect the classrooms with actual careers.

This week at Frenship High School, students in the marketing, career preparation, and culinary arts classes met with Betenbough Homes of Lubbock to connect and learn about available opportunities with Betenbough.

The marketing class students were given a presentation by the Betenbough marketing team, where they spoke about the culture of the office and how the department functions. In the career preparation class, students were given information on recruiting, interviewing and career options.

The Betenbough representatives spoke to the culinary arts students about the Willows Event Center and the 92 Bakery & CafĂ©. Students were informed about the culinary positions available that are flexible with school schedules.

The goal of these visits was to inform the students about current and future opportunities within the community. The students left the presentations with tips for securing positions and an overview of successful careers they are learning about in class.
