Area Playoffs Recap

Game 1: Keller Central Wins 6-3

The Tigers fell behind early in game one of the Area playoffs and couldn’t come back in the 6-3 loss to Keller Central. Frenship hit one home run for the day when Garcia had a four bagger in the seventh inning. Garcia went two for three at the plate to lead the Tigers in hits.  

Game 2: Frenship Wins 12-2

On Saturday, the Tigers found their groove with a 12-2 victory over the Chargers. Peeples was in the zone, tallying four hits and leading the Tigers to the win. She had a single in the first, third, fourth, and sixth innings.

An error scored two runs for Frenship in the first inning, while the Tigers scored another six in the third inning. The offensive onslaught came from doubles by Perez and Garcia, a triple by Garcia, a single by Peeples, and a home run by Franco.

Clark earned the victory on the hill and allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking gout six.

Game 3: Keller Central Wins 8-5

In the last game of the series, the Tigers watched the game slip away early and ultimately couldn’t recover in the 8-5 loss to Keller Central.

The Tigers notched four runs in the fifth inning led by a single by Franco and a home run by Esqueda. Frenship totaled eight hits with Franco and Garcia each managing multiple hits for the day. Martinez pitched one inning, allowing two runs on two hits, and walking zero. Clark threw six innings in relief.
