Frenship Students Dance the Day away at the Heart of Frenship Prom

The Heart of Frenship Prom is hosted every year to celebrate and honor the life skills, special education and academic adjustment students at Frenship High School.

Students were given the chance to experience a prom that celebrated the individuality of all students while promoting inclusion and awareness.

Frenship High School Special Education Chair, Kayci Smith, shares that the impact of the Heart of Frenship Prom will be long lasting. “The impact this prom has on the school and community is something that will be long lasting for years to come,” said Smith.

Hosting this special event is something that the students look forward to all year long. Many of those in attendance seemed to have had a great time getting dressed up and dancing with their friends.

The girls were pampered and glammed for the prom with the help of several girls who did their hair and make-up.

In addition to glam, several other student groups participated in bringing the prom to life, such as, The Unified Track Team, FHS cheerleaders, CNA and Pharm Tech Practicum students, and National Honor Society members.

“I truly believe this is one of those events that impacts EVERYONE involved. It's not about one specific group, it's friends wanting to throw a prom for their friends. I'm so proud of our school and the love that is shown, not just at this event, but every day,” said Smith.

There's no doubt that the Heart of Frenship Prom will be something that students will remember for years to come.
