Cross Country Excels at Amarillo Invite

The Boys Varsity sped past the other teams and took home the 1st place title in the Amarillo Invite. Blake Morrison came in 5th with a time of 16:06. Noah Hurst finished 6th with a time of 16:23. Brett Cram came in 10th running 16:46. 

The Girls Varsity had a strong run too, bringing home the 3rd place Amarillo Invite title. Amaya Mendoza finished 3rd with a time of 18:43 and Zyla Deshone finished 8th with a time of 19:12. Both Mireya Mata and Isabelle Leonard ran in the Varsity Division. Mireya Mata finished with a time of 22:31 and Isabelle Leonard was shortly behind her with a time of 22:31.  

The Boys JV won 2nd place at the invite. Jacob Murray finished 1st with a time of 18:13. Josiah Nguyen came in 3rd with a time of 18:50, and Donovan Martinez was right behind him in 4th with a time of 18:53. 

Up next, the Tigers are competing in the Chap Invitational at Lubbock Christian University, Saturday September 16 starting at 9:15 a.m.
