Tiger Wrestling Team Celebrates Big Victories on Senior Night

On January 12 and 13 the Tiger Wrestlers hit the road and traveled to Hereford where they competed in the Hereford Invitational. The Varsity Girls brought home first place, dominating the competition, and the Varsity Boys proudly represented Frenship on the podium.  

On the Girls Team, Aiyana Wright, Kayden Johnson, and Kenna Neeley placed 1st. Hannah Demel, Gabby Cardenas, Juliana Flores, and Kirsten Duarte placed 2nd. For the Boys team, Noah Zuniga and Bundo Ukelegharanya came in 1st place. Aisaiah Lugisse took home 3rd place, and Kason Womack took home 4th place. 

The senior wrestlers were honored at the successful dual match on Tuesday, January 16 against West Plains and Estacado. The Girls took home another victory with a final score of 38-24 against West Plains and 59-6 against Estacado. The Boys also celebrated a win against both schools with a final score of 54-28 against West Plains and 72-6 against Estacado.  

Up next on the Tiger Wrestlers radar is the Amarillo High and Coronado Meet on January 23 at Frenship High School’s Ninth Grade Center. The first match begins at 5:00 p.m.
