The Tiger Softball Team has had a strong start to their season. On February 27, the Tigers played Monterey, beating the Plainsmen 10-5. Assistant Softball Coach, Anna Williams, is pleased with how many home runs were scored by the athletes.
“We beat Monterey 10-5 with Kelvie Roberts, Jada Reyna, Lexi Clark and Alex Rangel hitting home runs dead center. Brooklyn Esqueda was solid behind the plate with Lexi Clark in the circle having 14 strikeouts,” said Coach Williams.
The Tigers competed in the Turf Wars Tournament February 29 through March 2 in Trophy Club. The team came out on top 5-1, in the tournament.

“Kelvie Roberts, Lexi Clark and Jada Reyna had a good weekend with multi-hit games as well as having the highest on base percentages on the team. Both Kynlee Bowlin and Lexi Clark helped the team to victory throughout the weekend with great performances in the circle,” said Coach Williams.
On Tuesday, March 5 the Tigers played Bushland, winning 3-5. Coach Williams is happy with how the Tigers dominated the field.
“Lexi Clark and Kynlee Bowlin pitched well, holding Bushland to 2 runs and Brooklyn Esqueda hit a home run to put us 1-0 early on. Ava Ramirez went 3-4 on the night,” said Coach Williams.
