After their success at the District Academic UIL Competition, eight Frenship High School students took on the tough competition at the regional level. The contest was held at Rock Hill High School in Prosper with over 400 students competing in 22 events.
At the end of the competition, the accounting team placed 4th as a team with Braden Weber placing 4th overall. He will serve as the first alternate for the upcoming state competition later this month.
At this level, the competition is extremely difficult, but through this experience, the students have learned so much and are already looking to improve for next year.
“The students competed well but the competition was very tough,” said Kami Miller, the Academic UIL sponsor at FHS. “The students who are not seniors are looking for ways to grow and compete again next year.”
