Frenship Baseball Advances to Bi-District Playoffs

The Tigers have done it again! The team played San Angelo Central in a three-day series and came out victorious, advancing them onto the next round of games in the playoffs.

“I thought our team did a really good job of getting some timely hits and driving in runs when we really needed them,” said Head Baseball Coach Chad Reynolds.

San Angelo Series Results

  • Thursday: Frenship defeats San Angelo Central, 5-1
  • Friday: Frenship defeats San Angelo Central, 12-2
  • Saturday: Frenship defeats San Angelo Central, 8-3

“Our pitching staff did a good job all weekend of throwing strikes and not giving the Central offense anything for free,” said Coach Reynolds. "I was proud of our guys for coming out on the final weekend of the regular season and continuing to play good baseball. It feels like we are playing good baseball at the right time of year. Our guys are excited to start the postseason!"

The Frenship Baseball Team is now competing in the Bi-District Playoffs against El Paso Montwood. The games begin today at 6:00 p.m. at Monahans High School and wrap up tomorrow, May 4 at 11:00 a.m. If needed, game 3 will happen 30 minutes after Game 2 on Saturday.
