Frenship Cross Country is Victorious at Recent Meets

Last Thursday, September 19 our Frenship Tigers competed in the Braswell Little D Invitational. “Both our girls and boys teams ran well in Denton,” said Cross Country Coach Xavier Allen. 

The Girls Team finished 5th out of 19 teams. Zyla Deshone finished in 2nd place with a season best of 19:12. Tilly Huerta finished in 41st place with a PR of 21:06, 1:16 off her previous best. Brylee Hudgens finished 50th place in 21:22. Isabelle Leonard came in 56th place in 21:27. Ashley Griffin finished in 67th place with 21:51. Dakota Duncan came in 82nd place in 22:23. Lauren Griffin came in 100th place in 22:58. 

The Boys Team finished 3rd out of 23 teams. Jayden Kinsey led the way finishing in 22nd place with a time of 16:47. Jacob Dominguez finished 26th place in 16:52. Donovan Martinez came in 30th place in 16:59. Jacob Murray finished in 33rd place with 17:03. Wes Allen came in 40th place with 17:09. Brax Hancock finished in 69th place with 18:00. Yoel Favela came in 79th place with 18:19. 

In the Littlefield XC Invitational, the Frenship Varsity Boys division won with 42 points over Levelland in 2nd place. 

The medalists for the Boys Team were Braxton Johnson in 4th place, Diego Salyer in 5th place, and Josiah Nguyen in 10th place. 

Varsity Girls finished in 3rd place. The top finishers were Dulce Acosta in 14th place, Alexa Cisneros in 20th place, and Julia Griffin in 22nd place. 

Coming up, the Tigers will be running in the Canyon XC Invitational this Saturday, September 28 in Canyon.
