The Frenship Volleyball Team had a strong run this season. Head Volleyball Coach Amy Mangum praised her athletes for their resilience and teamwork, highlighting the growth they achieved over the course of the year.
“This talented team had some ups and downs during the season, but the finish was phenomenal,” said Coach Mangum. “We went from 0-2 in district and finished on an 8-0 run! Also, winning our bi-district playoff game for the second time since Frenship has been 6-A (since 2016) was so fun!”
Reflecting on the team’s progress, Coach Mangum emphasized how their unity and determination were key to their achievements.
“This team grew more as a team than anything. I feel like we got better in all skills and were strong as the season went on when we were out of system,” said Coach Mangum. “I also feel like the team played strong, all-out defense which also led to the success we had!”
She hopes that the Tigers always remember their Bi-District win and the importance of teamwork behind that accomplishment.
“I hope this team always remembers that we met a huge goal a - playoff win - and it was because they came together as a team in the end to push for success and to meet our goal,” said Coach Mangum.
Coach Mangum could not be prouder of the eight seniors who played a big leadership role this season. She will miss them dearly but is looking forward to watching the underclassmen step up next season.
“I am especially proud of our talented seniors. They have led this program with great skill and leadership,” said Coach Mangum. “Our returning and incoming varsity players will have big shoes to fill. But I think that they have what it takes!”
Great work, Frenship Volleyball! We enjoyed cheering you on this season.
