Lubbock Christian University has collaborated with Frenship High School to create an accessible and seamless college admission experience. The program identifies seniors who meet LCU’s academic standards, ensuring they have a clear path to higher education without the hassle of a traditional application process.
"What the partnership with LCU provides is a streamlined approach to the college application process. Qualifying students who receive direct admission to LCU can simply complete the interest form that they received in the mail and the LCU admissions counselors will visit our high school campus to guide them through the remaining steps," said Frenship ISD Director of Counseling Craig Thomson. "Beyond streamlining the admissions process, this partnership is also a recognition of the quality of education at Frenship ISD. It is an acknowledgment of the trust in our incredible teachers and the learning environment that they provide in the classrooms each day."
What This Means for Frenship Seniors
Eligible students who meet LCU’s GPA requirements will receive:
- Guaranteed acceptance to Lubbock Christian University
- Automatic scholarship eligibility based on academic performance
- No need to complete an application—admission is already secured
An acceptance packet will be sent to qualifying students, outlining their next steps. This initiative reflects both Frenship ISD and LCU’s commitment to student success, making the transition to college easier and more accessible.
Thomson says this new partnership helps remove one of the hurdles in the application process, making higher education accessible to Frenship students.
"By simplifying admissions, we are ensuring that more students have the opportunity to pursue their academic goals without being overwhelmed by the process," said Thomson. "We are incredibly grateful to the leadership at LCU for providing this opportunity to the students at Frenship. We have so many current employees who attended LCU and I am excited that the door will be opened for many more graduates to realize their dreams of a postsecondary education."
