Frenship High School

All Frenship ISD Bands and Choirs Shine at Greater Southwest Musical Festival

Earlier this month, the Amarillo Symphony welcomed more than 10,000 student musicians during its three-day festival in downtown Amarillo. Students from Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma participated in the 54th annual event, held Thursday through Saturday. 

Frenship ISD was proudly represented by dozens of student musicians from each of the district’s four middle schools and Frenship High School. These talented students showcased their hard work and dedication to their craft, earning top honors across a variety of musical categories. 

Below are the results from the Greater Southwest Music Festival: 

Frenship High School 

  • The Frenship High School Non-Varsity Orchestra received an Outstanding rating and was also awarded ‘Best in Class’ 

Alcove Trails Middle School 

  • The ATMS Women's Choir received an Outstanding rating 
  • The ATMS Men's Choir received an Outstanding rating 

Frenship Middle School  

  • The FMS Tenor-Bass Choir earned three Outstanding ratings and brought home a trophy 
  • The FMS Varsity Treble Choir earned three Outstanding ratings and also brought home a trophy 
  • The FMS Honors Band received an Outstanding rating 
  • The FMS Symphonic Band received a Division 1 rating 

Heritage Middle School 

  • The HMS Varsity Tenor Bass received an Outstanding rating 
  • The HMS Varsity Treble received an Outstanding rating and was also awarded ‘Best in Class’ 
  • The HMS Advanced Orchestra received an Outstanding rating 

Terra Vista Middle School 

  • The TVMS Varsity Tenor Bass received an Outstanding rating 
  • The TVMS Varsity Treble received an Outstanding rating 
  • The TVMS Concert Band received a Division I rating  
  • The TVMS Symphonic Band Competed received an Outstanding rating
