After winning a total of four pool play games on Thursday and Friday, the Tigers overcame an eight point halftime deficit to defeat Brock 49-45 in the championship game.
FHS trailed 26-18 at the half but cut the deficit to 35-30 by the end of the third quarter. The Tigers grabbed a 44-43 lead with 2:01 remaining, and 13 for 16 shooting from the free throw line in the fourth quarter secured the tourney championship for the second year in a row.
Cassandra Awatt led the way with 19 points and Maci Maddox added 13. The duo along with teammate Addison Wilson were all selected to the All-Tournament Team.
