FHS Band and Choir Students Earn All-State Recognition

Congratulations to six Frenship High School students who earned chairs in the 2019 Texas All-State Band and Choir last weekend.

FHS junior Hayleigh Stephens was named to the Texas All-State Choir for the second year in a row. Because of her outstanding cuts and sight-reading scores, she was awarded the top chair for this choir.

Ms. Stephens’s achievement will culminate in a performance with the Treble All-State Choir in San Antonio on Saturday, February 16.

Five FHS band members were named to the All-State Band. They include:

Nathan Broyles, senior contra bass clarinet player, third time All-State Band member

Quinten Bruce, junior tenor trombone player, first time All-State Band member

Peyton Forsynthe, senior percussionist, first time All-State Band member

Thomas Price, senior Bb clarinet player, second time All-State Band member

Camden Smith, sophomore trumpet player, first time All-State Band member

The All-State Band will convene in San Antonio, Texas from February 13-16.
