Through a collaboration between the Frenship High School Health Sciences department and the Texas Tech Health Science Center School of Medicine students were presented with some tips and tricks on what it takes to pursue a career in the medical field.

Last Friday night the Tigers lost some steam when they finished the series against Odessa Permian, losing their top District spot and taking second place.

The FHS Culinary “Pit Bosses” competed in the State Barbeque Competition last Saturday, April 24 in Llano, TX against 62 other high school barbeque teams.

In the Region I-6A golf tournament, Frenship golfer Logan Vargas placed third individually to advance to the State contest. Lainey Cristan tied for 26th place, seventh among non-team golfers.

Earlier this week, Frenship hosted the 7th annual Fine Arts Showcase at the Performing Arts Center and it was packed full of beautiful handmade art from all grade levels across the district.

Last week the Tigers swept Odessa High and are now looking to finish off Odessa Permian as they fight to take first place in District standings.

Last Friday evening Frenship Softball played their last District-level home game against Midland High School on Senior Night.

Last week the FHS Student Council won several awards at their annual multi-state Virtual Leadership Conference with student councils from Florida, Tennessee, Texas, and Oklahoma.

On Monday, April 26, Frenship Dual Language students performed in the 11th Frenship Bilingual Celebration program. The celebration takes place each year to honor the success of all Dual Language students.
