The National Restaurant Association developed the ProStart curriculum and competition program to offer high school students across the country an exciting, competitive platform to demonstrate their culinary expertise and skills to industry professionals from around the world. Participants can showcase their talents in various events, including a chopped-style culinary competition, individual cooking challenges, and management/business scenarios.
At Frenship High School, our culinary arts department proudly assembles a team each year to compete in our state competition in Waco, Texas. To be eligible, students must be currently enrolled in a culinary arts course at the school.
