The Texas High School BBQ Association is an organization created for high school students to show their skills and creativity within the realm of BBQ. Their mission is "BBQ is bigger than just the food. It's a culture worth teaching, celebrating, and preserving. BBQ competitions engage students and enhance leadership skills, work ethics, and values. BBQ is a foundation for friendship, fellowship, and community building around the pit and the table."
Here at Frenship High School, our Culinary Arts students have the opportunity of joining the BBQ team and using our one-of-a-kind smoker rig, made by Evie Mae's BBQ in Wolfforth, TX! Your student must be enrolled in one of our 3 culinary arts classes to participate.
