The Texas High School BBQ Association provides high school students with a platform to showcase their BBQ skills and creativity. Their mission is clear: "BBQ is bigger than just the food. It's a culture worth teaching, celebrating, and preserving." Through BBQ competitions, students develop leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and core values, while building lasting friendships and a sense of community around the pit and the table.

 

At Frenship High School, our Culinary Arts students have the unique opportunity to join the BBQ team and cook on our custom smoker rig, crafted by Evie Mae's BBQ in Wolfforth, TX. To participate, students must be enrolled in one of our three culinary arts classes.
