Michelle Lessing is an Assistant Band Director and the Chamber Music Coordinator at Frenship High High School. She is a native of Abilene, TX. Her band experience includes teaching middle school through the high school level in the Abilene High School and Wylie High School clusters.
Ms. Lessing holds a Master of Music Education and Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Tech University where she studied clarinet with Dr. David Shea and performed with the TTU Symphonic Band, the Goin’ Band from Raiderland, and the TTU Clarinet Choir.
Ms. Lessing is also an active member of TMEA and TBA and enjoys performing. She has performed at the TMEA convention with the Abilene Clarinet Choir, conducted high school musicals, and played clarinet for church orchestras.
In her spare time, she enjoys teaching private lessons, spending time with her sister and dog, paddle boarding, yoga, archery, and bouldering.
Ms. Lessing is excited to continue her second year in Frenship!
