I am honored to be at Frenship as an ESL instructor. I have been involved in education in various roles for many years. My Bachelor's degree is in elementary education from Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I hold certifications in elementary education, ESL, special education and high school RLA.
When my family moved to Lubbock from Phoenix over ten years ago, I began subbing, then started working as an office aide at West wind Elementary. I moved from West wind to Upland Heights where I served as a Pre-K assistant and instructional aide for Special Education.
I chose education because my parents and grandmothers were the greatest educators I knew. Early on, they instilled in me the not only the importance of education, but a sincere love of learning. I firmly believe every student is capable of learning, but not all students learn in the same way. I hope to develop relationships with my students and their families so that I may learn how to best meet their needs and play a part of helping them achieve their goals and dreams.
My husband and I have been married over 30 years and are the proud parents of a 22-year-old son. My hobbies include reading and as frequent as possible trips to the beach. We also are a big football family, so the football season usually finds us rooting on the San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs and Texas Tech.
I am blessed to have been a part of the Frenship Family for over 6 years. Thank you, Frenship Family for the opportunity to continue to serve you and your families.
