My name is Detra Njenga. I'm a dedicated Life Skills teacher with 19 years of experience in education.  In previous years, I have taught 4th grade ELAR. Outside the classroom, I am a proud of grandmother of one and have two more bundles of joy on the way. My favorite color is yellow, and I love spending time outdoors. I'm an active member of my church where I find joy in serving and connecting with my community. Currently, I share my life with my boyfriend and dog, Roman. I am passionate about making a difference in my students' lives and believe in the power of life skills education to shape a better future.
