Hi! I’m Mrs. Dissinger, and I teach Interior Design I & II and Fashion Design I & II at Frenship High School. I love helping students explore their creativity while building practical, career-ready skills through hands-on projects.
In my classes, students learn by doing — whether they’re creating floor plans and 3D models, exploring interior design concepts, learning to sew, designing garments, or developing professional portfolios. My goal is for students to build creativity, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and other real-world skills they can carry with them beyond high school — whether they pursue a career in design or take those skills into an entirely different field.
Outside of the classroom, I’m a proud Army veteran, wife, mom, and grandma. My husband is also an Army veteran, and military service continues to be an important part of our family. We’ve called the Lubbock area home for about 15 years, and our family has been part of Frenship for many of those years.
I’m proud to be a Frenship Tiger and look forward to a great year!
SUPPLIES
All supplies and materials for Fashion and Interior Design will be provided.
Fashion Design - Optional Supplies & Fabric Donations
Students are not required to purchase fabric for class. However, students are welcome to bring their own fabric for projects if they would like to use something specific.
Our Fashion Design program also gladly accepts donations of fabric and sewing materials throughout the year! New or leftover fabric of all types and sizes can be put to good use in student projects and classroom practice.
